Emily is a fourth year medical student at Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. She will be doing her pediatric residency at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.  Brian is a first year medical student at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.  He is deciding between Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Hematology/Oncology.  In their free time, they like to relax, watch movies and play video games for incredibly unhealthy lengths of time.

In 2001, Emily and Brian were students at Orange High School. Although they'd never met in their years there, their parents booked the same Caribbean cruise over Spring Break. They spent the whole week getting to know each other and having a great time, including climbing Dunn's River Falls together in Jamaica. Their parents could not understand how they had so much to talk about during that first week.  On April Fool's Day, an airline strike forced the travelers to split up and take 3 different flights home from Florida.  Emily and Brian drove back and forth to the airport all evening picking up the stragglers. The next day, Brian asked Emily to his Senior Prom.
